Robert Hope-Jones, the Victorian inventor of the Wurlitzer Theatre Organ was born on 9th February 1859 at Hooton Grange near to Eastham on the Wirral, Cheshire. Hooton Grange was a Spectacular Mansion built for Roberts Father William whose profession in the birth record was described as Landed Proprietor.
